A Pál apostol leveleihez írt kommentár szerzője Johann Georg Dorsche (más néven: Dorscheus vagy Dorsch; 1597–1659) német evangélikus teológus volt, a 17. századi lutheránus ortodoxia egyik vezető képviselője. Vitába keveredett a jezsuita Melchior Cornäusszal és Heinrich Wangnereckkel a katolikus egyházi javak (püspökségek és apátságok) protestáns területeken történő visszaszolgáltatásának kérdésében. Mysaria Missae (A mise förtelméről, 1624) című értekezése életében három alkalommal is megjelent nyomtatásban.

Korabeli, bordázott gerincű pergamenkötés, a táblákon dombornyomott minták, a gerincen tintás címfelirat. Pirossal pöttyözött lapélekkel. Néhány lapon foxing. Szép példány. Aukción tudtunkkal nem szerepelt, közgyűjteményben sem találtuk nyomát.

The commentary on Paul's letters is the work by German Lutheran theologian Johann Georg Dorsche (also: Dorscheus or Dorsch; 1597 – 1659, a leading representative of Lutheran orthodoxy in the 17th century. He had a dispute with the Jesuits Melchior Cornäus and Heinrich Wangnereck over the question of the restitution of Catholic property (dioceses and abbeys) in Protestant areas. His treatise Mysaria Missae (On the Abomination of the Mass, 1624) was published three times during his lifetime.

Contemporary vellum wth blind-stamped ornaments and rules on front and rear boards, in title and date on spine, edges sprinkled red. To the best of our knowledge, it has never appeared at auction, nor have we found any record of it in public collections.

Dorsche war ein führender Vertreter der lutherischen Orthodoxie im 17. Jahrhundert. Er führte einen Streit mit den Jesuiten Melchior Cornäus und Heinrich Wangnereck über die Frage der Restituierung des katholischen Besitzes (Bistümer und Abteien) in protestantischen Gebieten. Sein Traktat Mysaria Missae (Vom Greuel der Messe, 1624) wurde zu seinen Lebzeiten bereits drei Mal aufgelegt.

Zeitgenössischer Pergamenteinband mit blindgeprägten Ornamenten und Linien auf Vorder- und Rückdeckel, mit Titel und Jahreszahl auf dem Rücken; die Schnittkanten rot gesprenkelt. Soweit uns bekannt ist, ist das Werk bislang weder bei Auktionen erschienen noch in öffentlichen Sammlungen nachweisbar.
